Vintage Lace and Orchid Wedding Cake

Here is an example of a great way to save some money and get a beautiful vintage lace look on your wedding cake. Buy lace you love and stick it on the cake. It saves hours and hours of decorating and piping out the lace look. Saves time & money and looks beautiful, vintage and elaborate without the elaborate expense! BTW: Just make sure your lace is in proportion to your tier. Higher tier the wider the lace needs to be, so as to not get "lost" on the cake. Also make certain you remove all pins with the lace as you cut & serve the cake --you will need to use a little more precaution, but the look is well worth the added effort. A close-up of the beautiful lace and silk flowers. What a lovely piece of vintage elegance. The lace already had several pearls sewn into it so the "few" pearl headed pins used to anchor it on blended in quite well. A close-up of the beautiful lace and silk flowers.
